MISSING
A reflection on grief, fear, shock, and anger surrounding the disappearances and murders of members of Toronto's Church-Wellesley Village community. Patterns of tape and torn paper left on utility poles evoke missing-persons notices posted throughout the neighbourhood over several years, haunting reminders of unspeakable tragedy and loss that have deeply scarred the community. The project is intended to acknowledge the shared grief that persists, and to create space for reflection to facilitate healing.
A public installation of this work took place in May 2019 at The Window Gallery YYZ, in the heart of Toronto's Church-Wellesley Village. Please see the exhibitions page for more information.
